Hello all. I was looking the Licenses Guide of Slurm (https://slurm.schedmd.com/licenses.html) and I was wondering if someone can explain me better how really works the remote license feature in Slurm...
* Is it possible to force users to specify the "-L" flag (license type and number of licenses, i.e. matlab:10) to use a specific software? Otherwise users can not run this particular software... * What is the purpose of server and servertype parameter when you try to add a resource (type=license) using the sacctmgr command? * Is there any communication between SLURM and some license server (i.e. Ansys license manager or MATLAB license manager)? or SLURM manages on its own the number of available licenses...
