Correct – either remove the slurm-torque package or (if the actual torque
package is installed in a place other than /usr/bin) change the $PATH order so
that it finds the one you want.

Subject: [slurm-dev] Re: Slurm and Torque

Querying for the installed rpms by the roll, I see

$ rpm -qa | grep slurm
slurm-torque-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-slurmdb-direct-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-rolldoc-6.2.0-160509.x86_64
slurm-munge-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-plugins-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-sjstat-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-perlapi-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
rocks-command-slurm-6.2.0-160502.x86_64
slurm-devel-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-sql-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-sjobexit-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-pam_slurm-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64
slurm-slurmdbd-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64

Do you agree if I remove slurm-torque-16.05.9-1.el6.x86_64 then the torque will
be appear once again?

Mahmood

Slurm has some optional scripts to ease the transition from a PBS-based system
(like torque). The package is called slurm-torque in the EPEL repos (or come
from contribs/torque if compiling from source) and they simply provide wrapper
scripts (e.g. qsub, qalter, pbsnodes) for the equivalent slurm command. I'm
not sure how its packaged in Rocks but if you can exclude the slurm-torque
package, you should be able to run both at the same time. We had both running
on our cluster while we were transitioning from torque to slurm.
