Hi,

With the possibility of rebooting KNL nodes in different MCDRAM modes
(flat,cache,…) I am wondering what is the recommended approach to set
RealMemory in slurm.conf for those nodes to always be able to use all the
available memory?

Here some background information:

In flat mode, /proc/meminfo reports:
MemTotal:       115214684 kB,

…whereas in cache mode /proc/meminfo reports:
MemTotal:       98700900 kB

This makes sense, but how do I set/modify RealMemory in slurm.conf depending on
the MCDRAM mode used?

More information:
Slurm version: 17.02.2
NodeFeaturesPlugins=knl_generic

Thank you!

Cheers,
Nico
