Paragraph one's solution is DefaultAccount per user - search for it here: https://slurm.schedmd.com/sacctmgr.html The second thing you ask for is different - expanding from "default to one partition" to "default to x partitions". I don't know that's possible in the same way. One solution (off the top of my head) to that problem would be to have overlapping partitions, and give those users access to the "top level" partition.
