I'm sorry if the question has been asked before (and it probably already has) but I've been wondering how to configure a submit host that resides out of the nodes network. For instance I would like my client to submit jobs to the master through 172.27.7.0 while the master dialogs with the nodes on a 10.0.1.0 network.
So far I haven't been able to run a job when the client doesn't "see" the nodes and couldn't find any hint in the documentation on how to do it. I know it's possible on SGE and Torque systems so I would be surprised if it wasn't the case with Slurm.
I'm relatively new to Slurm so could somebody explain to me how to proceed ? Thanks in advance.
