Interesting that urine is sterile when it leaves the body unless there is a kidney or urinary tract infection. The fluid also contains vitamins, minerals, hormones, amino acids etc. of a nature that could be beneficial. Kidneys are organs of balance, not of excretion primarily, though substances that are out of balance are balanced and the excess removed through urine. That is my understanding though of course there is much more to be said and I sure don't know it all. But it seems to be universally accepted that it is sterile if no infection is present. pj
