For aches and pains I'd suggest using DMSO. Unless there's a pathogen involved, CS doesn't have much direct effect. In the case of rashes, scrapes or burns, however, CS serves both to prevent infection, which drastically speeds healing and reduces scarring, but is supposed to help tissues heal better and faster by other mechanisms as well.
