Evening Zeb,
>> you might try adding potassium to your calcium and magnesium
>> supplement.
I think most people don't get enough potassium, even the ones
that take supplements every day.
Likely we can get 25 to 50 % of the amount from fruits and
vegetables, but not more than that. Only when I have watermelons,
cantaloupes, and tomatoes, can I exceed the 50 %. I take potassium
supplements several times per day, including the 350 mg potassium
chloride tablets at times.
Most people won't even make a guess when I ask them how much
potassium do they get every day.
>> Exercising and lowering salt is also helpful.
This is the statement that got my attention, ..... "Lowering Salt".
One doctor has told me 50 to 100 times, "Don't eat any salt" even
calling off many foods to avoid such as bacon, sausage, and a few others.
He has nutrition articles on the wall of every room. When he grabs
the prescription pad, ......... he forgets all he knows about nutrition.
Research shows only 50 % of the people are sensitive to salt,
relative to it having an adverse effect on blood pressure. What
about the other 50 %?
There is definitely a conspiracy in the mainstream medical to get
people to eat less salt. Our ancestors ate several grams per day,
even up to 20 grams.
I guess they simply do not know the daily amount needed is about 2000
mg. If people do not eat a lot of high salt foods, they may not get
enough salt. One older friend went to the hospital due to low
sodium. All the doctor told her was to drink less water.
Kroger foods are too salty. Some of their brands are so salty that I
cannot eat them.
Smuckers peanut butter and Kroger peanut butter have the same label.
Kroger makes a peanut butter that has 3 items, Peanuts, Peanut oil, and Salt.
Guess what? The Kroger is so salty I cannot eat it. I took two
jars back and gave them to the manager with a lecture and a jar of
Smuckers in my hand. They lied about the amount of salt in the peanut butter.
The salt and potassium is one that needs attention.
I asked 3 pharmacist how many mg of potassium is in a 10 MEQ tablet.
Not one could tell me. The one that tried missed it by 100 %.
His answer was 750 mg.
Another nice old guy tried hard to be helpful and talked a few minutes.
Finally he said, ...... about the right amount for one dose. Darn !
Why did they use the MEQ unit at all? To confuse and already
confused population? I suppose so.
Because I suspect everything the mainstream does, writes, says, or
thinks, I doubt that the potassium chloride is a good product.
If you think it is, then tell me something else they do that is good !
One more point, Back to the salt.
One morning I got up and my blood pressure was about as high as it
has ever been. I ate two or three kinds of fruit and had a package of
Emergen'C with all the minerals. Still the blood pressure was high.
about 240 over 140 . I still feel ok and never have a headache from
blood pressure as some do.
My mind was working hard and fast to make the next decision.
Guess what ! Salt to the rescue. A few pinches of Sea Salt and the
blood pressure came down over 40 points on both numbers.
Somehow, I keep forgetting to tell my genius doctor about that.
Next big lie of the mainstream, ..........
"High blood pressure causes strokes". If this was true, I would have
had 200 strokes by now.
What kind of engineer would design any fluid delivery system that
could not stand more pressure than the pump can deliver?
The blood vessels are 10 times as strong as they need to be. The
heart cannot build enough pressure to blow a hole in one.
The plain and simple truth is, ...... "weak blood vessels cause strokes".
I tell all my friends who have had a heart attack,...... "the biggest
crime of your doctors is that of not telling you how to build strong
blood vessels".
One genius made the statement,
"High Blood Pressure does not hurt very much". His name is Charles
Weber, who likely knows more about potassium than anyone else in the
world. Simply search for Charles Weber + potassium.
Of course high blood pressure is a symptom, not an ailment.
The causes are clearly known. Ask any doctor and you will get an
evasive answer, or less. I have heard them say, "We don't know
what causes it".
1. The first factor is the Volume of Blood Nothing effects the
pressure as much as the volume. Try having a nose bleed for 6 or 8
hours and watch the blood pressure.
2. Elasticity of the blood vessels ( or the loss of it )
The blood vessels should expand each time the heart pumps to allow
for the peak of pressure and make more room for the blood volume
inrush. If the blood vessels expand as they should lower blood
pressure will result.
Loss of this elasticity contributes to higher blood pressure.
3. The body produces hormones and chemicals that will make the blood
vessels smaller. This is an emergency step that could be life saving at time.
The bad news is, this mechanism gets out of balance and some of us
make too much of this. I can't recall the chemical name but they can
be found with more details about this.
I don't know the solution to this problem but am working on it.
Balancing the major minerals is important, Calcium, Potassium, and
Magnesium. Give the minor and trace minerals consideration also.
Complete B Vitamin supplements plus Folic Acid are important.
Folic Acid and been under supplied all our lives, starting at .1 mg,
then .4 mg and now .8 mg. Nutritionist have said for 50 years we
need 5 mg per day.
Sorry, but I have to say this, ........ we can blame the Vegetarians
for this one. No question about it.
Folic acid will cover up a B12 deficiency until one gets Pernicious anemia
which is irreversible. At least that is the only excuse I have seen
for the very low levels of Folic acid available in a single pill or capsule.
These are mostly my ideas and some may be wrong. If so, I would like
to know the correct answers.
