I recommend measuring the herbs into individual sized portions to make 1 gallon
of tea. This is because you need to make it every 2 weeks. If it gets older
than that it might get moldy. There are places that sell you the tea mix in a
pound or large amount but the problem with that is that some of the herbs are
very fine and others bulky and when you throw them all together like that and
then try to measure out a half a cup you are not going to get the right mix.
(Hope I made that understandable)

Recipe for 1 gallon
Burdock root (cut) = 1/4 cup
Sheep Sorrel (powdered) = 3 Tablespoons
Slippery Elm (powdered)= 1 Tablespoon + 1 Teaspoon
Turkey Rhubarb (powdered)= 1/2 teaspoon

I use bottled spring water but some people do use the distilled water.

Procedure
Measure and mix all the herbs up. Get the water boiling before you add the
herbs. Let the herbs cook at a slow boil with the lid mostly on for ten
minutes. Stir it up and keep the lid on and let it sit for 12 hours. (This is
the extraction part) After 12 hours (I usually let it sit overnight and then
bottle it in the morning) heat up the mixture again to a slow boil and turn it
off. After it cools a little, then you can strain the mixture and bottle it. I
strain it once into a big container, and then strain it again when I bottle it.
You don't want to get too obsessive about straining. Dark brown bottles are
recommended. You can heat the bottles in the oven for a few minutes at 175
degrees to sterilize them. If you don't have the brown bottles use whatever you
have and keep it in a brown paper bag till you can get brown bottles.

When you want to take the tea you can measure out 1/4 of a cup of Essiac and
1/4 cup of bottled spring water and heat and drink. During chemo sometimes this
is all my husband would be willing to ingest. I had him drink it 3 times a day.
It gently detoxifies the toxic soup and dead matter that the chemo and cancer
has created. He would bounce back to normal within a couple days in between
chemo sessions.

Essiac is good to take even if you don't have Cancer. I drink it all the time
and it gives you strength. Helping someone overcome Cancer is a big job and
requires a lot of work. It is great to take with any illness and will help you
recover faster because it is detoxifying all the garbage. Another thing I would
recommend is Enzymes which are garbage eaters and help you get rid of the toxic
soup also.

When my husband had Cancer we used whatever alternative things we heard about
that we knew would be basically harmless. He did a lot of other things. Took
little bowels full of supplements a couple times a day. He did eat the cottage
cheese and flax seed oil too.

I order my herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs. Their website is
www.mountainroseherbs.com and number is (800) 879-3337. They only sell high
quality organic herbs. When you are going to go to all that trouble you don't
want to get poor quality herbs, you only want the best so that it will work.
They are based in Oregon. Takes about a week for me to get my orders. If I was
dealing with someone really sick I would get a bottle already made from the
health food store while waiting on the shipment. It does take some time and
trouble to make, but once you get used to doing it, it is not too bad and you
will be glad in the end that you went to a little bit of trouble because it
really makes a difference.
Hope that helps someone.
Best of luck.
