If I remember, all they basically said was apply some CS a few times a day everyday for a few weeks, and it might help.
I've been looking into serrapeptase, though (an enzyme), and that looks like it might be more effective for this purpose, although not "free" like CS. A regimen of 6 grams vitamin C and 6 grams lysine is also supposed to be very good at reducing arterial plaque, which may also help varicose veins.
