My ideas on this pushing of vaccines and giving no credence to the risks/dangers of vaccinating by pediatiricians is as always "follow the money". I've read much back and forth on the subject of vaccinating animals, and a huge part of the answer of vet hostility seems to be that vets make a lot of their money from vaccs. I read somewhere that vaccination income can be as high as 60 to 80 % of a veterinary practice's total income (from my admittedly poor memory--no refernce to hand) If true, it would not surprise me at all if similar figures apply to pediatric practices. Certainly I have gotten the idea from discussion of the topic of vaccination that even school requirments that children be vaccinated before being admitted, plus city/town and county/state laws regarding animal vaccination requirements were mainly all pushed through to support profits. I don't doubt most of the politicians at the lowest levels (city councilmen, etc) thought they were protecting health and safety, but go up the line to state and national politicians likely to be directly involved in the pharmaceutical industries and there is surely a whole lot of self-interest involved. It always seems to be a matter of looking to see who directly profits from anything. Always, always follow the money. It is impossible to get any person to believe or act directly contrary to their own economic interest.

I wish that mainstream media would expose issues like the conflicts of interest in vaccine policy making http://www.909shot.com/COFRpt.htm then, people would be less inclined to believe statements from your article like, "multiple studies by prestigious scientific groups have found no evidence that vaccines cause autism."
