Subject: CS>aspirin vs. white willow bark
I'd like to ask the list whether anyone here has experience using an
infusion of white willow bark, the botanical source of salicylic acid, in
place of aspirin. I'm wondering specifically whether some other
ingredient would be needed as a buffer.
Thanks,
Deborah

I have used Nature's Plus White Willow Bark and prefer it to aspirin.
Aspirin, as you know, irritates the stomach lining and causes other problems
as well. Since you are using the entire bark, I would imagine there are
"natural" buffers that you don't get with the isolated synthesized chemical.
I have never had problems using WWB.
