CS does not have the solvent properties necessary to dissolve substances that require an organic solvent instead of water. It would probably work to make an aqueous infusion, like tea, but might react with some of the substances in the herb.

I wonder.has anyone used CS in place of alcohol for making herbal tinctures? As an example, plantain is such a common weed, but is an excellent healer for many things from diaper rash to vaginal itching etc. and it's a bit messy as an infused oil. I was thinking of spritzing a plantain solution but if it was alcohol based it might burn initially but if infused in CS it should keep, wouldn't burn and would last maybe??? Any thoughts?
