Just out of curiosity, what color was your CS? Did you add salt or
baking soda or anything else? I'd also like to know if you were using
electrodes of .999 or better silver.
It may have been something in the cotton ball, whether real cotton or
synthetic, I would imagine they would add contaminants as much or more
than coffee filters do. Though I have applied EIS/DMSO with cotton pads
frequently and have never had greying from that either. I've been
misting my face and eyes daily (at home, often until I drip, then I
rubit in with my EIS for 3 years now, and often am in the sun
immediately after, and I have absolutely never had any greying on the
skin surface. I also have been drinking my EIS at the rate of an
absolute minimum of 4 oz daily, often up to a quart per day. I wonder if
it is also possible there was something else on your skin at the time
you applied the CS?
Obviously something happened but what? I

My experience with the misting of EIS was that I actually wiped it on
with a cotton ball, thinking that it would kill bacteria that cause
acne. That was in the morning. By the afternoon I looked in the
mirror and found to my dismay that my face had turned gray. I guess
the silver oxidized. Fortunately, I was able to wash it right off,
but it was an anxious moment. I won't do that again anytime soon! I
was using CS made with three nine-volt batteries snapped together, two
alligator clips connected to two silver sticks. Perhaps the method
and type of CS I made was too crude, and misting with mostly ionic
silver would have a better result!
