Well, I did, can't find it now (search in progress on PC). But, it was just a few drops of each of the essential oils known for repelling bugs, like citronella, pennyroyal, etc. Search the web for homemade bug repellants and you will get an idea of what to add.
That recipe appeared on a canine related list I am on a LONG time ago, I made up a batch and haven't had to since.
