Subject: CS>Re:CS>CS turning grey

Hello Sandy:
I think if more information were given it would help to determine the
problem. You mention that you have never had this problem before, but that
this is a new unit.
It would sound to me that making 10 gallons in one hour is awfully fast and
that the partical size may be too large.
Do you know the output voltage of your unit ?
More information would be needed for someone to determine what may be the
problem.

I have purchased a generator set up recently, which works with silver wires
and clips. It makes 10 gallons of CS in approximately one hour when I use
starter CS with it. Recently, my brew came out a light golden color. A few
hours later, some of them turned dark gold. The next day, all the jars were
somewhat darker. I just returned to my "brewing room" and some of the CS is
more grey than gold. I know that the silver wires are very pure, I know
that the DS is good. Some of the CS jars read from 12.6 to 16.7 on my PWT
and some are as high as 23.

I've never had grey CS and I'm wondering why my CS is changing color and if
it is safe to use.

Thank you

Sandy
