Yes, iron overload is a very serious problem and it's disease, hemochromotosis (HH), is undiagnosed in many many, people, especially those with any Celtic background....
my sister and nephew have regular phlebotomies to keep the iron under control... undiagnosed hemochromotosis can cause death in many unpleasant ways, each having their own names such as diabetes, heart disease, cirrhosis and other diseases of organs... it is one of the most undiagnosed genetic problem we have..
