A few years ago, before I had a CS maker, I got the unmistakeable signs of a "hot tooth" beginning. Having lost 2 in the previous 10 yrs, I felt I'd do anything to try and keep this one in my head. Not expecting much with a possible abcess, I started with 15 drops of GSE in water, swishing around the culprit before swallowing. I did this about 4-6 times a day for the next 3 days. The tooth went 'quiet' on day 2. The only drawback, for me, was continuing into day 4. At that point my knee joints began to hurt. My best, somewhat educated guess is that it's the citrus component that affected my joints, since citrus is known to do that to arthritics. I still have the tooth! Every once in awhile it gets a little 'funny' when hot liquid hits it, so I go back on the GSE for a day or 2. If it weren't for my previous experience with the GSE, I'd use the CS but, heck, I'm not going to mess with success as I really would like to keep that tooth in my mouth! I've stopped colds/flu and also used it when I got Lyme, in addition to the Doxy (and everything else I could hit it with!) One man's meat............
