Beneficial gut bacteria do not attack or prey on Candida albicans but they do protect the gut wall against it by occupying the sites that Candida targets as its home turf in the body.
Hence the wisdom to take probiotics anytime you are under stress or taking antibiotics. However this seems not to be necessary with CS, since many take it for long periods with no signs of Candida overgrowth, myself included. I for one am very familiar with the symptoms and have not experienced any indication that this is happening in my gut. I have been using large amounts of CS for the past six months or more.
