Garnet,
I have enjoyed your posts immensely. Thank you for bringing up such vital
information.

Your above statement sparked something that I wanted to comment on. I have often
heard statements like "You can't have love without hate," or "You wouldn't have
good without the bad." I have always disagreed with these concepts, though I
never could explain why, despite the prevailing sentiment around me. Finally, I
understand what didn't feel right to me.

You write, "it is the progression between the polarities that is responsible for
all movement." If you mean CONTRAST, absolutely. However, to me the word
"polarity" suggests diametrically contrasting opposites that have at their core
vastly different beliefs, values, and functions.

My personal cosmological belief of Source is that in an intact, loving
environment that has retained its Divine Blueprint -- that which Source created
in love -- there is enough diversity and challenge to encourage movement,
interest, and joyful challenges.

However, it is when NON-Source behavior and attitudes such as hate, greed,
jealousy, and rage manifest that we no longer have the diversity that encourages
movement, but rather, POLARITY.

The Earth is in the midst of polarity consciousness right now. All over, people
are fighting each other because they come from a place of fear: fear of not
having enough (of whatever), fear that someone will kill or hurt them. There are
also pockets of people trying to come from a place of love. Love is inclusive.
Loving people are interested in promoting diversity that is born of love,
compassion, joy, understanding, and a connection to the Earth and to each other.
This is very different from the polarity consciousness that by definition
incorporates and promotes hatred and disconnection from each other and from
Source.

Perhaps you meant "diversity" instead of "polarity" in your above statement, but
that's not how I read it.

As long as there is the notion that we need to accept hate-filled behavior and
attitudes as a "normal" accompaniment to loving behavior and attitudes, we will
be promoting, even on a subtle leve, those hate-filled qualities -- in
ourselves, in others, and in life in general. However, by understanding the
difference between diversity and polarity, we can refuse to accept that the
"bad" that is inherent in polarity is inevitable. *Knowing* that negativity is
present is very different from thinking or believing that it's inevitable, and
therefore necessary. To me, love can stand alone.

There is a difference between polarity and diversity. I believe that our planet
was never meant to reach this level of polarity, for the not-love disconnects
people from Source. On the other hand, everything that IS love connects people
to Source. I know which in my life I'd rather be connected to. Although
everything is a part of Source, it's the connection that makes a difference.

With love,
Nenah
