Wayne, My husband was bitten about 2yrs ago by a brown recluse. I immediately started with bandages soaked in CS. 2oz of CS orally every few hours (he was not very cooperative or I would have had him take it every hour) I also had him take MSM three times a day. It got pretty bad. He got a red line in the vein from the bite site(back of thigh) around and up to his groin. the whole bite area was bigger than my hand and bright reddish purple. The center was about the size of silver dollar and had some necrotic skin. About a week later, he had to go to doctor for a different reason and the doctor was amazed that it was healing so well. She said that the usual bite that is that bad has to have surgery to fill in the bite area because it causes a big hole. He still has a scar about the size of a silver dollar, but it is smooth and surgery was not needed.
Just keep the bandages soaked with CS!!!!!!! I think that is what did the most good. C.
