Hi, Vince! The mixing method given by "Ole Bob" produces by itself in steady state in a cylindrical vessel a pattern of flowlines that are horizontal and tangential. A combination of the vertical-axial convection of thermal stirring with the horizontal-tangential shearing of "Ole Bob" is has a wonderful balance to it, or so it would seem to me. Thank you for carrying out actual experimentation that confirms it.
