Hi Ted,
When I feel an out-break coming on, or even if it has already broken, I take
a full gram two or three times a day. I find that the heal-over rate is
much faster when I do this. Also, as you probably know, it's important to
take individual amino acids on an empty stomach and wait 1/2hour or longer
before eating. I think taking vitamin C potentiates the effect of Lysine
when taken together... if anyone knows different, please chime in.

Yes, I've been reading about the Arginine in food. I
tried using lysine when I first started getting
outbreaks but I couldn't tell where it helped that
much. I can't recall what amount I was taking as that
was a while ago, but I may try again at the levels you
stated or higher.
