Rob:

Oxygenation is an excellent benefit, but equally important is an improvement
in the entire digestive system that occurs from stimulation caused by the
movements of the diaphram.

Important considerations are rhythm and elimination ( meaning emptying the
lungs completely )... more so, in my opinion, that the actual lung capacity
used. Advanced practices such as Pranayama, when done properly, improve
physical, mental, and emotional well being.

The single most important principle in breathing: Breath foremost from the
diaphram!

Breath less...eliminate less...circulate less... There is an opposite
viewpoint to everything, but there will come a time when each of use breaths
a whole lot less... I'm willing to wait until that time.

Best Regards,

Jason

Hello,
I'm a little confused. [no big surprise] I'm finding alot of conflicting
information about what are the best breathing excersises that a person can
do to enhance their health. Although one hand there are breathing
techniques like buteyko that say breathing less is good for you. There are
dozens of breathing exercises out there that concentrate on using your full
lung capacity. If you read the buteyko web page they will tell you that it
is good for most diseases. Isn't the objective of breathing exercises to
help you to better oxygenate the blood? That is what I am hoping to do does
anyone have any suggestions how to do it? Thank you

Robb
