One of the quickest tests is to put it under your arms as a deoderant. Any odor should stop within a couple of seconds.
Leave out a piece of uncooked chicken untiil it starts stinking. Pour CS on it and note the immediate termination of the odor. We use it in our garbage disposal when it starts smelling.
