I was in a bad car accident ages ago... broke my spine in about 5 - 6 places and cracked some bones in my neck. My lower back was what gave me a fit. The neck bones only bothered me when I would be in the washbowl at the hairdresser. Otherwise, they just cracked and creaked all the time. My hairdresser would always have to hold my neck/head for me when I would sit up and I would just be squirming with pain/discomfort until she was through.
Six weeks ago, had my usual appt. NO PAIN... it was so unexpected. Wow. Could hardly believe it. I could lift my head all by myself. The last few years, I have been wearing magnets on the back of my neck, off and on most days and I have been using 'earthing' bands when sleeping at night. I belong to this group on yahoo and the owner/seller of the magnets is very active on site and generous with his advice and attention. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Magnetictherapytoday/ Whatever you do, don't use any magnets off the fridge. I had used magnets for 10 yrs or so but Peter's magnets are the best I have ever seen .. very strong and safe. He has a sale going on right now. You can purchase the book titled 'Earthing' on Amazon and it is probably cheaper if you purchase a used copy. Do read the reviews. I have no affiliation with any of these products. I just use them and have had good results. http://www.amazon.com/Earthing-Most-Important-Health-Discovery/product-reviews/1591202833/ref=cm_cr_pr_btm_link_1?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending It may be on ebay also but.. no reviews there. You can place a band around your wrist, grounded and sleep with it on at nite. It is terrific for quieting inflammation, etc. Here is where I buy my bands. http://radiantlifecatalog.com/product/earthing-bands/earthing-grounding You can also just sit outside with your bare feet on the earth for 1/2 - 1 hr and see how it works for you. Can't get any cheaper than that. In an emergency or for acute pain, DMSO is also great stuff. Lola H.
