Hands seem to be a good indicator for "acidity" often the basal thumb joints will be our "barometer" for the rest of the body - fresh lemon juice in fluoride free water is a help too, hot water - hot everything helps these situations, heat the cup, the pot, before making the hot drink. All helps - also remember to drink sitting down - this apparently helps sore knees!

When I was a student nurse the physiotherapy department used to have a tank of melted wax for patients to put their hand in - they pulled them out and allowed the wax to dry on their hands (I don't remember how they got the stuff off them again! Very comforting)

I also have a squeezy ball to strengthen the hands.

Thanks for reminding me about the borax - I might just go dip the little finger!

Jane

Don't really know. Works great for pain in the hands, for sure. The
kind where you don't have any strength because of the pain.

I've also started drinking Yerba Mate tea rather than black and green
tea which seems to upset my stomach. Seems to be helping for
inflammation.
