Walmart is a giant retailer, Dee. Many Walmarts include a full grocery department -- those stores are called Super Walmarts. But that's just one department in a department store. *Supermarkets* (per se) sell only groceries. MA

I thought Walmart *was* a supermarket? They don't sell distilled water in our supermarkets here, only mineral water. You can buy it in garages, but only in small bottles which would cost just as much if you bought a couple of gallons. Also, don't know what the quality would be either. I did think about a distiller but couldn't decide which would be best. Our water here is as hard as iron - literally - and I think it would cause lots of problems with scaling as well. dee On 10 Sep 2009, at 21:59, [email protected] wrote: I can get distilled water at Wallmart for $.89 for a gallon. >At a supermarket it's $1.69. > >If you pay more than $2 per gallon, you might find it frugal to invest >in a home distiller. > >Chuck >
