Hi, Since I was very sick last year, can speak from experience. The last thing you need is visitors when you don't feel well. I would suggest the patient tell us when he feels like talking.
I remember answering the phone last year and my niece and her husband wanted to come out to see me but I knew if they did, I would die. I barely could sit up, let alone talk to anyone on the phone, let alone in person. My sister from WA listened to me and told them not to come out.
