Thanks for all your feedback guy's and gal's after I posted my
question I thought Oh brother that's kind of a GREEN question cause
poking around more at the site I did read up more on ionic silver; but
it's nice to get group feedback. Thanks for bearing with me ;O)
Initially, I started out making solution in a qrt. jar. Took approx 4
hours. Yesterday I went to a 1 gal glass jar. Anybody making CS in
this qty? If so, how long is it taking to complete the process?
I knew it would take considerably longer (that's a given). I have been
turning off the unit and cleaning the electrodes every 2 - 3 hours to
remove sludge build up (didn't want build up to end up in solution).
So far so good. Dwell time so far totals 12 hours thus far and
generator is still running.
I make 55 gallons at a time. Takes about a week to make 250 gallons, at
the rate of 1.5 gallons per hour. I use silver plates totaling 100
square inches active area, 90 mA of current, and reverse the polarity
every minute, with the water being pumped around to keep it stirred up.
I also use a flow through arrangement, so it never has the long time to
start the process, and the output is very consistant.

Thanks, Mary

You are producing the optimum ratio of colloidal to ionic silver, about
15% colloid, 85% ionic. Colloidal alone will not promote healing, nor
prevent scarring and ionic alone will not kill bacteria as well, and can
cause argyria. You need both, and that is what the generators produce.
You can't do better than that.
