I don't know much about CS, but I know emu oil works wonders AND it relieves
pain.
I hinked up my knee somehow last week, and could barely stand to hobble
around on it. I grabbed the bottle of emu oil I ordered online the week
before;) and poured out a little about the size of a dime and rubbed into my
poor sore knee. By golly it worked like a charm!
I bought it mainly for my really dry skin, but the claims were that it
helped with pain too, so I tried it, and it worked!
It's supposed to help with scarring too. Hmmm, I wonder if I could mix a
little CS with it? Emu oil penetrates ALL the layers of skin so it acts like
a carrier, sort of like DMSO, but not.
I can't say enough good things about what it did for my knee. By golly I was
almost in tears it hurt so badly. And the effect lasted 4-6 hours after
which I just reapplied it. It only took a couple of days applying it, and I
was good as new!
I'll bet it would carry CS right through the skin too! I haven't tried that
yet, has anyone else? I know there's Silvadene, that's supposed to reduce
scarring too, but you can only get Silvadene by prescription I think. I'll
bet emu oil and cs would work just as good or better!

Subject: CS>ideas for possible speedier healing
Yesterday I had the misfortune to stump my little toe against the leg of
my rebounder (yeah I know, need to look where I put my feet <:-| )..
It tore the nail off by 99%, and I went to emergency where a kind doctor
cut the tissue and removed all of nail. My own attempt on pulling it off
didn't work, pain was even worse than pain I already felt.
Anyhow, I am now left with a raw nail bed, rather sore to walk on foot,
but at least the bleeding has stopped.
Because of the bleeding I couldn't put any arnica around the rest of the
toe that received just the trauma but no torn skin, so the swelling will
be slower to come down. umm.. wasn't quite my day
Would anyone have any suggestions towards a speedy healing of this sort of
injury? I have my spray with CS and DMSO ready for when the bandage
comes off.. That should be tomorrow (if I can handle it being on there for
so long).
Thanks for all input
