yeah, sure thing, you betcha.

Seriously, I looked into it a little bit and there seems to be some chlorite (? I'll have to look that up) and siderite (a white mica) in some of the clay in the mn river valley. I am not sure how good that would be to ingest. Any one know? about kaolinite or the other stuff?

There is some at this place that is different colors. I just can't remember the details of the minerology. The black stuff is from organics, it is in the creek beds, I think. And then the tan kaolinite, and some red. It is Cretaceous in age, and I am not sure eating raw clay that is that old would be a good idea. Who knows what is in it, as far as germs or fungi, or bacteria? A Big Question.

I have some kaolinite clay I got from a quarry near Mankato, and it soaked up the toxic mold stink like crazy from some stuff I have stored in the garage, where the clay happens to be. This is a clue that perhaps this kind of clay would also be able to adsorb the toxins internally.
Anyone know a good reason why that might be a bad idea?
I'm getting in the mood for a field trip....
Thanks, Kathryn
