With almost no media coverage by mainstream press of this story, I find many of my friends unaware of this humanitarian effort from the UK. If you are moved by this story, please help forward information of this aid convoy -- The goal of Viva Palestina is for the world to know about this wonderful humanitarian effort.
Best Zaheda Sunday, March 08, 2009Aid Convoy : With Love from ... the UK<http://zaheda.blogspot.com/2009/03/aid-convoy-with-love-from-uk.html> On Valentines Day, Feb 14, I was fortunate to find myself in London for a few days, and went to Hyde Park to see off an Aid Convoy of 110 vehicles<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4My1k8AwL-k&eurl=http://www.vivapalestina.org/video.htm> destined for Gaza. The vehicles were tagged to Gaza "With Love from .... " each dedicated from a town in England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG-uuLX1Aso&eurl=http://www.vivapalestina.org/video.htm>. The contents of the vehicles were donated by young and old and people of all faiths from these towns <http://www.vivapalestina.org/local.htm>. I later read <http://www.vivapalestina.org/Yvonne/130209.htm>, that this was the largest British convoy to cross Africa since the Second World War. The huge offering of humanitarian aid leaving the shores of Britain was not a response from the government, but the people of the UK so moved by the suffering and distress of those trapped, and over 750,000 are children<http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/gallery/2009/jan/09/gaza-human-rights?picture=341550348>, in the war torn <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX9b1HHHX6k&feature=related> place they call home. more at : http://zaheda.blogspot.com/2009/03/aid-convoy-with-love-from-uk.html
