If you can spend, do get the D90 with the video as well. Why do I say this? I shouldn't actually be saying anything as I am not a Nikon person. I have a Canon 20D (ok, ancient) and a Canon S3. And it's the latter which gives me the instant flexibility to work in macro mode or take a video. I carry both cameras along with me now, as I hate changing the lenses on the 20D in the open air, as that's the way to keep Mr Thomas the camera-guy-of-Cambridge-Layout in perpetual funds. (I use the 300mm prime lens and a 1.4x converter.) There are several *excellent* camera people on this group....let me call one professional. Kalyan Varma...what do you say to D80 v.D90?
