Reminds me of the youngster who said scornfully to the reporter who had come to cover the hundredth birthday of his granddad..."What's the big deal about it? He's just gotten older..and look how long it took him to do it!" Growing older...mandatory. Growing....wiser and into a better human being...VERY optional, and so tough to do. But Thaths, "Just hanging out" may not be as bad as you think. I just met one of Mohan's friends in Shillong; he meditates, has given over his business to his son, walks every day, doesn't watch TV and just skims through one newspaper.... and is leading a simple life. I was very impressed by his calmness, the quality of serenity that I found in him. I would call him self-realised....and that is *my* goal, which I am far from! Deepa.
