But I would be curious to learn if the children were (or were not) US citizens who will always have the option of getting away to a system that is known to be more receptive and open to differences and special abilities. Most people love their children enough to want to give them "the best". From the standpoint of an Indian citizen living in India, and having to plan for a future for my children in India - I would see this home schooling approach as a risky experiment if there was no special escape clause. If the kids are US citizens - and the parents wealthy and educated, the risks are reduced. At any unspecified time the child could be transported back to a kind system that absorbs the differences rather than forced discrimination based on that difference. In short - its a rat race in India, and the rats are winning. shiv
