I had to bring it up because in the last two weeks, largely because of the barcamp I have been meeting up with various silk listers and it was a very pleasant surprise, to know that not only were the people 'nice' (without the horrible little lord fauntleroy connotations) but that they and I spoke the same language. I had, in spite of Jace's invitations earlier, been very reluctant to go to a Silk Meet because as an outsider - we are all outsiders aren't we? - for the same kind of anxieties that you voice.
I was looking forward to coming for the next silk meet - I had told Jessica as much when I last met her - but now it seems it shall not be so. I am leaving for Delhi on the evening of Friday to go and attend the Indian National Theatre Finals where the production of a script I had written is competing in the final ten. And after that I am heading to Ahmedabad to smile at family I haven't seen in seven months. I shall be back in June again for a month and a half and hope to catch up with silk list meetings after that.
In the meantime, if you have the time and inclination, maybe we can meet up on thursday this side of the town - jayanagar, JP nagar or something and have a pre-silk meeting . Lemme know.
And as things are, let us drop this thread. It would be inconveniencing too many people to reschedule. You guys go ahead and have fun.
cheers
Nishant
