I would love to disagree here :) Cases like IRCTC, Airtel and others
including CanBank, LIC, NIA, IndiaBulls (shamelessly plugging my
employer) go a long way in providing that OSS/FLOSS is considered as a
'viable' alternative (in addition to being cost effective). They are
significant since the /. crowd do not really bother to check up existing
reports on already well running stuff and picked up this particular item
to start tomtomming about.

Or perhaps more importantly, contribute to something like Sahana...The
issue with ICT4D projects and FLOSS is that FLOSS can only provide a
framework within with the project objectives can be achieved. For the
sake of argument, given enough resources, eChoupal might as well be
specced on Mac ;)
