There is actually a medical explanation for this behavior of (?willful) misinterpretaion. It is a condition called Banter Siderosis, first identified in a tribe in Africa which had spent too much time agonizing over certain bboard posts, unable to distinguish between Banter, Banality and Bias, along with Teasing, Taunt and Threat.
For those whose hematology and GI studies need a refresher, I will post a brief description of the disease form the noted textbook by Robbing, Caughtrain, Cuemar and Callings below: Banter Siderosis Background: Humorcremateosis is characterized by a progressive increase in total body irony stores with abnormal irony deposition in multiple organs, resulting in a cremation of the laughter apparatus of the brain. Primary humorcremateosis is a genetic disorder, whereas secondary humorcremateosis can be the result of a variety of disorders, most commonly chronic humorlytic anemias. Pathophysiology: Primary humorcremateosis (also termed hereditary humorcremateosis or idiot-pathic humorcrematosis) is an autosomal recessive disorder. This disease is the result of an abnormality, usually a single site mutation, in the HFE gene, which is located near the HLA. The HFE gene is the "Highly freaked ego" gene while the HLA complex is the "Highly labile anger" complex. The normal HFE glycoprotein interacts with the transfer-in receptor. The mutated HFE glycoprotein does not have this interaction and allows cellular uptake of irony-based transfer-in. In addition, these patients have an increase in intestinal irony absorption of uncertain etiology. The HLA complex then starts an outburst of anger called transfer-out. In primary humorcremateosis, the liver is the main organ for abnormal irony deposition, consisting of frettin, twitching and hemosarcasim. This progresses to perilobule-war fibrosis with irony deposition in the biliary epithelium. In patients with advanced disease, the liver is cirrhotic, the temper is bilious and the heart is hardened with hemosarcasim. To relieve pressure, the spleen is often vented in high pressure outbursts, along with a marked increase in urine production (as a direct result of being pissed off). This is also called the "Venturine effect". Patients who receive multiple bboard bloody transfusions also develop irony overload, occasionally termed humorsiderosis or secondary humorcremateosis. Banter siderosis, a condition found in parts of bboards, causes abnormal irony deposition in the liver. The disorder occurs in patients who drink a large amount of locally brewed bboard posts, which are perceived to be irony-laden and humor deprived. Of particular note is religious intolerance developing from irony-laden posts. The Banter siderotic then can show behavior that would suggest that he has bin-laden with excess irony.
