I had the Three Body Problem in mind as I was writing my email. I
discounted it because it's influence was more limited to the reading
classes unlike the Indian example (RRR) and Korean example (Gagnam Style)
which were more widespread.

You make a good point about Hong Kong Cinema.

Prashant, martial arts, cuisine, writing, fashion,... all those were some
time ago. I was looking for more recent examples.
