Hi Matt, I worked for a company over 6 years ago doing semweb work (Plugged In Software/Tucana), we ran a few W3C working groups, etc. back in the day, but we were way too early and ultimately failed. A few of the ex-devs run their own companies these days, thinking Andrae Muys, Robert Turner & Andrew Newman there may be others too. You might try to get in touch with them.
