Hello all,

I'm a new member of Silicon Beach and would like to introduce myself.
I'm a 36 y/o IT professional from Germany and have been for the past 7
years with NCR Corporation developing ATM software. In early 2009 I
left NCR in order to see Australia on a 12-month tourist visa. This
gave me the opportunity to make not only long holidays but also a
myriad of exciting new experiences "down under". Now as we approach
the end of the year I need to make a decision: either go back to
Europe, or stay here and continue my career in Australia. I would
prefer the latter. I have no Australian citizenship, so my next
employer would need to sponsor me for a working visa.

I have had extensive multicultural experience, having lived and worked
in Europe, Asia, North America and Australia, and am flexible in
regards to work and location. (However after having travelled this
country, given a choice I would prefer a more rural area to Sydney or
Melbourne.) My main skills and past responsibilities are in software
development. At NCR I have had the opportunity to manage large
software projects working under high security and quality
requirements. I love coding in C, C++ and C#, but have no difficulties
adapting quickly to new languages and environments whatever the task
at hand requires. In previous jobs I have also worked with Linux and
SAP.

Would anyone know of a possible opening that might match my profile?

Martin Maurer
