Plenty of write ups. Ross Dawson has the most extensive http://rossdawsonblog.com/weblog/archives/2009/01/startupcamp_syd.html
Experience was truly awesome. Everyone involved blew themselves away by what could be accomplished. A lot of people went for a full 40 hours. The best of us got 4 hours sleep; others maybe had a 15 hour nap. The format of the camp seems to really have evolved (Melbourne's experience I hear is that they learned more, but achieved less). It's a delicate balance, and I think the structured nature of the camp is its strongest and weakest points. For example, being forced to send press releases for a product by a certain time that still isn't working causes first impressions harm. To be fair though, it creates focus and forces you to better experience things. Overall, I think people came out of it feeling more energised about creating something for themselves and less scared about building a business.
