Hello there,

I got a new Internet connection and there is a fault in the (nat)router
(Huawei E5180s-22) delivered from my ISP. The (nat)router will not
handle loop back. So pinging or connecting to services on my public IP
address will work from every node except from those behind the shoreline
firewall or the shoreline firewall itself. The (nat)router itself can
ping its public IP using the diagnostic.

The public IP adddress is 212.27.9.12
The (nat)router LAN address is 192.168.8.1
The shoreline firewall ip's are 192.168.8.25/usb0 and
192.168.0.25/eno1 (ip/interface)
The target http server is running on the shoreline firewall

How can I direct all pings from the local network (loc) to 212.27.9.12
so it will be the shoreline firewall answering those pings ?
How can I direct all port 80 requests from the local network (loc) to
212.27.9.12 so that the http server at the shoreline firewall answering ?

I hope you don't find this to stupid as I am sure the shoreline firewall
will be way easier to fulfill this function than to have Huawei fixing
the E5180s-22 :-)

Sincerely,

Karsten Jeppesen
