gmail had bounced this list reply which was quite interesting:

The response from gmail's support system is only mildly amusing however:

The mailing list has been in "emergency moderation" since one spammy
message got through a few years ago.
This will continue and messages will be throttled to prevent triggering
gmail's oversensitive filters.
