Really? 1,000? I have it set at 20,000 at the customers’ request. But they use a LOT of automation, primarily with snakemake.

On our clusters we generally set max_u_jobs to 1000 and max_aj_tasks to 100000. The only reason we have max_u_jobs so high is to accomodate automated job submission systems that aren't under local control. For a single user to generate the more than 1000 meaningfully distinct jobs that would make this a limit a problem would require a lot of effort on their part. Anyone who bumps into the limit can be educated :) William _______________________________________________ SGE-discuss mailing list SGE-discuss@liv.ac.uk https://arc.liv.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/sge-discuss
