The HttpProviderEndpoint was not in a working state previously, so I don' t think it should really affect you. As for SSL support on this endpoint, I'm not sure if jetty client supports it yet. Maybe we can have another endpoint using bocking send like the previous one or another one based on the new httpcomponents from jakarta that support nio based http...
