I'll re-iterate what I said:

When the ServiceMix and ActiveMQ Apache committer list was created, it included
all previous committers to the project.  But 100% of committers may not
have been active during the period of the incubation.

All though the projects trusted those individuals enough in the past
to give them
commit privileges, perhaps the TLP (Geronimo for sake of argument) PMC
may want to see more recent activity to evaluate if they truly 'get'
the Apache way.

As a Geronimo PMC member, I would +1 a motion to give all the
Geronimo/Servicemix folks Geronimo commit karma.  Then, I would work
to introduce active contributors into the Geronimo PMC.  I don't see a
big down side to this for any of the communities involved.
