Sounds good. Except that when I run it I get the following error:

521 > xf86cfg
Error: Widget work has zero width and/or height

I'm open to suggestions.

=>You might try using the replacement for xvidtune instead.
=>
=>Check/install XFree86-xf86cfg the run xf86cfg with X already
=>up. This is the also the replacement for XF86Setup so you
=>can use it to configure XF86-4.x too. It does som nice
=>stuff too, like multiple monitors, keybords, and mice
=>that Xconfigurator (from Red Hat) doesn't do.
=>
=>Once X is up, run xf86cfg.
=>At the top is menu, probably reads "Configure Layout"
=>Select "Configure Modeline"
=>Now you have the xvidtune functions. use teh "<<" and ">>"
=>buttons to seclect the mode you want to edit.
=>
=>The single ended arrows (like '->') move the display window.
=>The double ended arrows (like '<->') change the window size.
