Eventually, try a tiny program called "hotkeys", I got to use the special
buttons of my Logitech multimedia keyboard with it. It requires "xosd" that
can be found in RPM from http://seawolf.freshrpms.net/

I remember having had problems building the recent versions of hotkeys,
that's why I never rebuilt it for 7.1, but my old 7.0 RPM can be found here
